In-specie pension transfer a nightmare
If I could give no stars I would
Started my part pension transfer in March of this year from Aviva to Vanguard because Vanguard charges are much cheaper and it's been and still is a nightmare.
FCA rules in specie transfers must be completed in a reasonable time. One of Aviva's staff in the complaints department told me it could take up to a year lol well not according to the FCA and ombudsman.
Plus I transferred a final salary pension and DC pension from BUCK to Vanguard in double quick time.
The pension unit, complaints department and customer service are a shambles and need sorting out.
I'm just waiting for this nightmare to finish then I'm going to the FCA and ombudsman.
Don't bother sending any links to contact you that's just a waste of time.
I will be seeking financial compensation as I can't buy or sell my funds in the markets until the transfer is complete.
Aviva blame everybody else apart from themselves.

EASY TO NAVIGATE AND VERY PLEASED WITH…
EASY TO NAVIGATE AND VERY PLEASED WITH MY QUOTE. AVIVA SAVED ME £350
Simple and straightforward application
Simple and straightforward application. One issue I would like to raise; I have a life insurance policy with Aviva as well. Would this qualify me for a discount on the car insurance I have just taken out?

Appalling Home Insurance Providers
Absolutely appalling - they really are a disgrace! My complaint in a nutshell is that I had damp problems occurring in my downstairs living room for several months. It turned mouldy so I contacted the owner of the neighbouring property and agreed to each find 3x professionals to assess our individual properties. He didn't deliver on this, I did and the professionals were able to inspect his property where it was found that the shower tray wasn't sealed and the leak could be coming from his property and leaking into mine. I contacted Aviva who advised me not to submit a claim as they'd need to know the cause of the damp before they assisted. So I spent another several months trying to convince the unhelpful owner to assist. He tried to manipulate me and get me to agree to paying for his financial losses of evicting his tenants if the problem wasn't found to be in his place. Then he blocked me. At this point, I get in touch with the Environmental Health team at Bristol City Council, who send someone over to my property and his. The inspection proves inconclusive. So I asked one of the damp proof experts to make full repairs to my property, costing over £1000.
At this point, I made a claim with Aviva as I felt I had done all that I could have and exhausted all my efforts. I'm assigned a Claims Manager, Thomas Munday, who spends the first call essentially dismissing my efforts for the last year and a half and gaslighting me for not making a claim when I had first spotted the damp! I send him all the information he requests.
Eventually my claim gets rejected and my case is closed (this decision was made without my knowledge). I appealed but that was upheld and the guy who communicated the upheld appeal notice was almost coaxing me into making a complaint to the information commissioners' office, which I will be doing shortly. In my final call with Thomas Munday, he advised that my case would be reopened again if I go back to Bristol City Council and the damp proof expert and ask them why salts or gas tracer tests weren't done on their inspections. BCC responds and I continued to send other correspondence to Thomas Munday who has not responded to single one of my calls or emails for the last two months! Rude and unprofessional!
This being far from over, I then get in contact with a paralegal working for Aviva to see if he can do anything to summon the neighbour in to providing me access to his property so that we can check that he has fixed the shower tray. The paralegal returns stating that he has had to close my case because Aviva had closed down my case!
What a ruckus! So incredibly disappointed, stressed and frustrated with this company. Unfortunately, I'm with Aviva for another 10 months on my Home Insurance but as soon as it expires, I'll be looking elsewhere because I don't want to keep putting my money into the hands of a bunch of truth twisting gaslighters who clearly don't talk to each other nor support their customers!
To quote another reviewer: The current situation is simply unacceptable. We don't want 'apologies.' Successful businesses do not excel in excuses or apologies; they excel in RESULTS, which Aviva has failed to do this time.
